Zippers 101
In this class you will learn the basics of zippers, the different sizes and types of zippers and how to install them into your projects. You will make 3 different projects including a zipper. Cost of the class includes patterns and materials for each project. You will select from a variety of precut kits.

| Instructor Bio: | Hi! I’m Melanie, a farm girl from Illinois, happily married to my retired Air Force husband for over 30 years. We raised 3 children and added a daughter-in-law and two gorgeous grandsons. I sewed my first item at the age of 5 by hand with my mom’s help in cutting and pinning to make my baby doll Janie a robe and I have sewn ever since. I have made anything from wool suits to handbags as I sewed in 4-H for 10 years and then on to make items for my children and then to sell at craft shows and booths. Stitch by Stitch Fabric Boutique convinced me to begin quilting in the spring of 2024 and now I am a founding member and the President of the Shoal River Modern Quilt Guild in Crestview. I have taught my children, military youth, and adults how to sew and enjoy the process. Engaging people in a craft that is not only useful but allows for creativity to grow is a privilege for me. Come sew with me, I would love to teach you. |
